Life Passes Like a Moment: Guidance, Trial, and Patience
Think back to the very first memory you have of your life—perhaps when you were five years old. Now, return to the present. How many years have passed? Some of you will say 20, some 50…

The Story of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Medina Jewish Market
One of the first actions of our Prophet (peace be upon him) after migrating to Medina was to establish the Medina Market. At that time, the markets in Medina were controlled by polytheists and Jews. After touring the existing markets in Medina, our Prophet (peace be upon him) realized that these markets were not suitable for Muslims to conduct trade. Therefore, he established the Medina Market to eliminate the deceitful trade system of the infidels and to raise honest Muslim merchants who would serve as an example to humanity.
The main purpose of the Medina Market was to protect Muslims from resembling infidels in production, trade, and consumption, and to present their own principles to humanity. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated that deceit was forbidden and would lead to accountability in the afterlife, declaring as a primary principle, "He who cheats us is not one of us." This market, established on the principles of honesty and justice, played an important role in the economic life of Muslims.
The Medina Market served not only as a commercial center but also as a training center where Islamic morals and principles were practiced. Here, Muslim merchants not only sold their goods but also learned and applied the ethics of Islamic trade. In this way, the Medina Market strengthened the economic life of the Islamic community and contributed to the global recognition of Muslim merchants.
Why don't we only buy products from those who are friendly to Muslims? Instead of ordering food online, why don't we take the phone numbers of a few local restaurants and order from them? Why don't we buy products or services from local businesses instead of shopping online? Of course, it is important for local businesses to offer discounts and exceptions to those who purchase directly. If we explain why we are doing this, perhaps they will support us as well.
What about the States? If we show our determination, they will have to follow because they are composed of individuals like us!
Technology addiction not only distracts us from real life but also from our duties to our religion, society, and culture. We are actually taking on a huge responsibility. By unknowingly supporting those who kill innocent people, we are indirectly contributing to their weapons. How will we account for this in the afterlife?

One day, a person who had never seen the Prophet (pbuh) entered a gathering and started looking for him. His eyes searched the room, but unable to immediately recognize him among the people, he curiously asked:
"He is not one of us who sleeps full while his neighbor is hungry."
