Life Passes Like a Moment: Guidance, Trial, and Patience
Think back to the very first memory you have of your life—perhaps when you were five years old. Now, return to the present. How many years have passed? Some of you will say 20, some 50…
Somebody is really lying to us and obscuring the true history... But why, what do they want from us?
People tend to glorify the things they love; it's almost a part of human nature. Sometimes this tendency goes so far that the exaggeration seems real to the observer. Interestingly, a story transforms as it is passed from person to person, becoming completely different from its original topic. Similarly, people can speak negatively in an exaggerated way about things they dislike. As these words spread, the subject or person begins to be known as something bad.
Take for example, a student's high score in a math exam. Initially, it's just a good score. But as the story spreads, exaggerations like the student having the highest score in the class, or even in the school's history, emerge. Eventually, the story becomes far from reality, with claims of the student being a math genius or winning a national math competition. Thus, the original story changes completely and becomes unrealistic.
The alteration of historical facts follows a similar process. Often, it's done to elevate a belief or denigrate another. This results in people glorifying their beliefs and slandering the opposing ones. Over time, some individuals and groups, driven by political, economic, and power motives, have distorted facts to manipulate people for their own interests. Unfortunately, our history has often failed against these malicious individuals, leading to a past filled with lies, especially in the history of religions.
Humans inherently feel the need to believe and seek refuge in a creator. However, in modern times, these feelings have been exploited, forcing people into certain beliefs. Barriers have been placed between inherited beliefs and true faith, preventing exploration and turning people into automatons.
Therefore, I embarked on a deep investigation of my own religion and others. Eventually, I concluded that there is only one creator. I thought, 'If there were multiple gods, wouldn't there be conflict among them?' and started my research with the belief, 'No, there is only one god.' If this all-seeing and knowing deity truly wants something from us and sent prophets for it, then despite people calling this religion different names in various languages and cultures, it actually points to the existence of one religion. In a history full of exaggerations, false and frightening narratives, I believe a powerful deity has left a source for all humanity to safeguard.
I rejected polytheistic and idolatrous religions because they are illogical. Another reason I avoided idolatry was the lack of logical foundations in these religions and the practice of worshipping man-made objects. I thought it was wrong to worship the sun, the moon, or fire, as these too were created by a supreme power for our use.
My investigations then focused on three main religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. These three share a common foundation: humanity's descent from Adam and Eve. Even the names of prophets like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jesus (absent in Judaism), Isaac, Ishmael, David, Solomon are largely the same across these religions. My goal was to reach the source of these religions.
First, I examined Judaism. I found it to be the oldest, but its ethnicity-based nature caught my attention; if your mother isn't Jewish, you can't be a Jew and are considered second-class. I found this inconsistent with the justice of that great deity. Due to alterations and additions over time, I moved away from Judaism.
Then I studied Christianity. The existence of many different Gospels surprised me. My research revealed that during the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, under Emperor Constantine I, some Gospels were chosen from thousands. The chosen Gospels supported the concept of 'the Son of God,' not 'one god,' and others were destroyed. I wondered, 'Can't the power that created the first man without a father also create Jesus without one father?' Seeing human additions in the Bible, I did not accept modern Christianity.

Finally, I turned to Islam. 'Ahh, they are terrorists,' you might say. But remember, they didn't start World War I and II. They aren't responsible for the massacre of 70 million in America or the killings based on different colors. All these weren't done by Muslims. Some groups claiming to be Muslim today are actually products of intelligence agencies and brainwashed minds. Looking at Europe, there are still Christians, but once there was an Islamic Empire; the Ottoman Empire. If the Ottomans wished, there wouldn't be any Christians left in Europe, but there are. What about the Muslim Ottomans welcoming Jews? So, how did I reach this conclusion?
As I said, I needed true history, not falsehoods. When I examined the Quran, I found every copy worldwide to be identical, without a single word difference. This caught my attention and I must have reached a conclusion. Then a verse in the Quran struck me: 'It is We who sent down the Quran, and We will guard it.' My research focused on the first pages of the Quran and its compilation. The first written Quran was penned during the prophet's lifetime, and these manuscripts were compiled into a book during his time. The oldest Quran manuscript found in Birmingham, England, is 1370 years old and is letter-for-letter identical to today's version. Dr. Muhammad Isa Waley of the British Library said, 'This exciting discovery is a great joy for Muslims.' Prof. David Thomas stated, 'The person who wrote this book could have seen Muhammad and heard his sermons.' The 1365-year-old deer skin Quran in Uzbekistan belonged to Caliph Uthman. I'll try to write more about this in another article.
I found an unaltered book. It felt like the creator was speaking directly to me, guiding me on what to do, like a manual for life. Most of its content spoke of good morals and taught me to be a good person. Particularly, the writings about war caught my attention. 'Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors.' (Quran 2:190) When I studied Islam, I learned that harming women, children, the elderly, trees, animals, not tying up prisoners, and feeding them our food were principles during war. I also saw how much Islam emphasizes doing good.
Then I examined the sayings of Muhammad and saw they came through various sources. When I studied these sources, I encountered an interesting chain of trust and history, which I will detail later.
I have accepted the Quran; it warms my heart and brings me peace every time I read it. I am certain that anyone who uses the Quran as a guide, as a measure, will never stray from their path. It talks about how the world is just a test field. Are you a believer who does good deeds, or are you a bad person? This test won't be easy because the forces of evil that try to conceal the truth and those who blindly believe in them will always be against us. But isn't it worth seeking the truth and securing our future in this short life?
In my other writings, I believe you'll see that Islam is a religion of peace, organizing and simplifying human life.

You are a Muslim or you will become a Muslim; so how will you find the truth among so many groups?
So, what is the greatest treasure? Have we ever thought about it? We live in a vast universe, sharing the same world with billions of people. But in reality, each person lives in their own world. Everyone has their own universe, which means billions of worlds. The interesting thing is that everyone sees themselves as the most important person in their own world.
